Published artist, David Lizanetz, is a native to his current home in the southwest desert. When not painting, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son and two dogs. Following a love of drawing ever since he could pick up a crayon, David took all the art classes offered in grade school, high school and college. He took an evenhanded approach to open his mind to all corners of the art world by taking classes in sculpture, ceramics, lithography, and wood carving as well as drawing and painting.
In 2000, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Arizona State University. Since then, he worked with some of the top art production companies in the United States. Throughout his art career, his work has won numerous awards, has been featured in magazines, television and published in print form. Lizanetz’s internationally acclaimed work is also in private and corporate collections worldwide and in galleries across the country. He has come to both enjoy and specialize in many different genres, including abstracts and landscapes painted in a transitional contemporary style. He also creates still-life and figurative artwork as well. Lizanetz is always seeking new avenues for expression and is constantly striving to reinvent his style and keep his look fresh. As for the future of his art, David says, “Only my paintbrush knows what’s in store for me.”
